Since opening Studio 259 in 2016, Christie has focused on building a welcoming boutique salon where clients feel relaxed, cared for, and truly heard. She continues to refine her craft through ongoing education and industry events, ensuring her techniques stay fresh, modern, and healthy-hair focused.

Christie is dedicated to delivering consistent, beautiful results—and to fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for the stylists who call Studio 259 home.

odie Glende has been a professional hairstylist for nearly 40 years and truly can’t imagine doing anything else. A proud Spencerport graduate, she began her career shortly after high school. After taking time to raise her two children, Dodie returned to the salon world in Brockport before bringing her passion back home to Spencerport in 1994—where she has been ever since.

Dodie specializes in cutting, coloring, and perming, and loves helping clients find styles that flatter them while fitting their lifestyle and personality. For her, hairstyling is about more than hair—it’s about connection, confidence, and community. Working in her hometown allows her to build lasting relationships with clients and support the town she loves.

Outside of the salon, Dodie and her husband Ray are proud empty nesters who enjoy traveling, especially to Virginia Beach to visit their grandchildren. She loves the outdoors, hiking, camping, long walks with their furry companion Rosco, and entertaining family and friends. You’ll often find Dodie and Ray walking through the village of Spencerport, supporting local businesses and giving back whenever they can.

With nearly 35 years of experience behind the chair, Isabella is a seasoned stylist known for her precision, creativity, and commitment to helping every client feel their absolute best. She specializes in hair cutting, highlighting, fashion colors, corrective color, and permanent waves, bringing both artistry and expertise to every service.

In addition to her mastery in hair, she is a certified electrologist, offering permanent hair removal with over three decades of experience. She also provides full-body soft-wax waxing services, making her a trusted go-to for clients seeking comprehensive beauty care.

Outside the salon, she cherishes time spent with her family. She loves to cook, bake, crochet, and relax with a good book—creative passions that reflect the same care and attention she brings to her work each day.

Alea Floyd brings over 22 years of experience in the beauty industry and a lifelong passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful. She began her cosmetology journey in high school, earning her license while spending her junior and senior years assisting at the small-town salon owned by her mother and two colleagues.

After high school, Alea pursued her dream of teaching, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2007 and a Master of Science in Adolescent English Inclusive Education in 2009. Even while in college, she never stepped away from hair—cutting in her dorm basement and working on hair and makeup for the theater department.

Although her teaching career was cut short due to a rare lymphatic disease and a life-altering surgery in 2017, Alea found her way back to the salon—an experience she describes as both healing and liberating. Returning behind the chair reaffirmed her love for the craft and the joy of making others look and feel their best. She has been working part-time in the salon ever since and is grateful to continue doing what she loves.

Alea enjoys every aspect of her work, from big transformations to maintenance trims, bold colors to lived-in dimension, taper fades to polished blowouts. She takes pride in offering a wide range of services to meet the unique needs of every client.

Outside of the salon, Alea can be found tending to her gardens, watching the birds, and snuggling with her beloved fur baby.
